i found this in my blog archives from 2012, inspired by April Osteen Simons. it's a beautiful, timeless declaration for every day. a visual reminder to start the day with intention that "today will be a great day," with accompanying bible verses that promise the same. because every morning when we wake up, we have a choice about how we feel about what's ahead, knowing God already has our day planned for us and has these promises for us.

today i will choose joy

today i will walk in God's favor

today i will guard my tongue 

today i am expecting God to do great things

we have a choice to claim our day. let's choose to see the beauty and the goodness promised by our Savior! call the day great as it's getting started! stand firm and claim God's promises for joy and favor first thing in the morning. His word is good!
