// Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. to be honest this is the most difficult HP book i've read so far. those of you who have read it know what i'm talking about, and thank you for telling me it gets better. i finished book 5 and am on the library wait list for book 6.
// Finding Spiritual Whitespace by Bonnie Gray. when i first started this book i had no idea what spiritual whitespace was or if/why i would need it. but Bonnie's story is unfolding-insomnia, anxiety, panic attacks- and i can relate. and now i'm starting my own journey to finding spiritual whitespace.
// Moms' Night Out by Tricia Goyer. fun, real, funny, exciting, and uplifting. maybe you have seen the movie? i haven't. the book is great, though. perfect summertime poolside read for Moms. while kids splash and play, go vicariously on this adventurous MNO.
// Atlas Girl by Emily T. Wierenga. oh, mercy. so, emily and i have some stuff in common. i've been reading her blog for a while now and was excited to get my hands on this book. i'm only about a chapter in and i have a feeling this book is going to wreak some havoc in my heart. i can already tell i'm going to be challenged by her memoir to reflect on my own "adventures" and to pray through some places i've been and am headed.
pssst....do you see my fancy fingernail? it's either hounds-tooth or minecraft, depending on who you ask. it's my first try of a Jamberry nail wrap! so much fun. another book i'm loving right now: Adventures in Odyssey Mealtime Devotions. reading this book as a family at dinner has become the highlight of my day. we've had some great conversations prompted by God's Word. i'm amazed by the kids pure faith and i love hearing their perspectives. i pray this becomes a habit, a tradition, and that our kids remember these special moments of praying and reading the Bible together at the table.
