around here lately

 

 

listening // a new playlist on spotify i made for my upcoming family reunion. it's loaded with 51 songs that were me & my sister's favorites in the late 80s and early 90s: vanilla ice, nkotb, bryan adams, janet jackson, nirvana, violent femmes...oh, it's good. i named the playlist "vintage"

eating // homemade granola. i'm hooked on this stuff. the recipe is so easy & adaptable. i chop it up into small chunks (instead of bars) and store it in a canister on the kitchen counter for a quick, healthy snack.

drinking // water water water. and when there's a chill in the air, a mug of chai tea with a splash of coconut milk.

wearing // this WILD hat reminds me of Declare and our prayer to walk in wild obedience the path God has for us. harem dance pants. (oh yes i did) and head-wraps.

reading // colossians 3 and "restless" by jennie allen.

watching // my kids grow up right before my very eyes. and rainbow looming. constantly.

feeling // excited to see my family. missing my dad. ready for summer. 

weather // schizophrenic. beautiful, sunshine, spring today, cold, overcast, winter tomorrow.

enjoying // oil pulling & using essential oils. having a playground right across the street. 

to do // pack for the family reunion, sign the kids up for swim lessons, watch the "restless" book club replays, work on multiplication facts with my daughter and handwriting with my son.

praying // that i clothe myself daily with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience, forgiveness, love & thankfulness (col3:12)
