getting something sweet and unexpected in my mailbox makes my day. such great anticipation arises when it's time to check the mail. anything good? i ask myself, shuffling through the envelopes. what is good mail? anything other than junk, but especially a handwritten note.
there's just something about getting a notecard out of the blue from a friend, near or far. the thought that the person chose that card, took the time to jot a quick message inside, spend the few quarters on a stamp, and drop it in the outgoing mail means a lot to me. because i know it's way faster, cheaper, and easier to send an email, text, or tweet.
as sweet as it is to get handwritten notes in my mailbox, it's even sweeter to send a handwritten note to someone else's. to take the time to choose a card, jot a quick, personal message inside, spend a few quarters on a stamp, and drop it in the outgoing mail means a lot to me. because i know the joy it will bring the person who finds it in her mailbox.

i just love these cards. getting them and sending them. the black and white is sassy and fun, while the message is sweet and heartfelt. perfect to drop in the mailbox to bring joy to someone's day.
