made the most of 2010: a year-end blog recap
this was by far the most exciting year for my blog yet. {um, hello Relevant!} i really feel like i used this space and time to make the most of every opportunity, holding true to the mission for my blog. to commemorate and celebrate, i'm participating in Musings of a Housewife's 2010 Blog Recap Carnival!
i've gathered the first lines from the first post of each month in 2010, linked to the original posts and reflected (in italics)...take a stroll down MamaHall Memory Lane with me, won't you?
January: i've been away, i know. my Christmas was crazy.
...my first menu planning monday of the year, sticking to a resolution that works well for me.
February: we've been living a fast-paced, go-go-go, do-do-do life for the past 5 days and now it's time to sloooow it down.
...sounds like i was still recovering from Christmas. i remember that feeling...i vow NOT to feel like that this year.
March: trying some new recipes this week because i'm just in the mood to shake things up a bit!
...another menu planning monday post. i really need to get back into the habit of publishing those.
April: Jesus is the reason for the season, as usual.
...my Resurrection Sunday post.
May: we were in the car, going somewhere, on our way to do something.
...sounds mundane but believe me that was one of the most important days of my life.
June: in the beginning of my first summer as a Mom, i won in a raffle an oversized beach bag filled with little pool toys.
...and 6 years later i still use it!
July: A few weeks ago I stumbled upon Serious Krystyn at Really, Are You Serious? and it was blog love at first sight.
...still involved in an on-again off-again not so serious love affair with Serious Krystyn.
August: the kids & i {and our friends} had a fantastical time @ Matagorda last week.
...fantastical is a word and it's the best word to describe that vacation.
September: i hope this doesn't make me crazy.
...but it probably does. and yall love me anyway.
October: we're in our groove around here.
..."get into the groove...boy you've got to prove...your love to meeeeee"
November: do you know Ann Voskamp?
...no seriously, do you? she is responsible for making me an upside down blogger.
December: it was an unusually windy day.
...i turned comments off on this post but was bombarded with your kind words in my email and on Twitter. that'll teach me.
wasn't that fun? and there's so much more good stuff in between. what a year. what a journey. i pray 2011 can be just as wonderfully random as 2010.
