"God can pour on the blessings in astonishing ways so that you're ready for anything and everything, more than just ready to do what needs to be done. As one psalmist puts it,
He throws caution to the winds,
giving to the needy in reckless abandon.
His right-living, right-giving ways
never run out, never wear out.
This most generous God who gives seed to the farmer that becomes bread for your meals is more than extravagant with you. He gives you something you can then give away, which grows into full-formed lives, robust in God, wealthy in every way, so that you can be generous in every way, producing with us great praise to God."
-2 Cor 9:8-11 The Message
there are many opportunities to give generously, especially this time of year. in November and December i especially like to focus on giving, rather than the "stress" of the holidays that "they" try to get us to focus on. Thanksgiving and Christmas are holidays built on giving, gratitude, and God, and those things are not stress-factors.
are you prepared for God to pour out blessings in astonishing ways? i am. is your heart prepared to give? mine is. please join me this month as i take giving to new heights by taking the 30 Day Giving Challenge. check out the website, chat in the BlogFrog community with other participating bloggers, find the 30 Day Giving on Facebook and Twitter, link up, and grab a button.
or, simply follow me in this journey, and take the challenge yourself. make a conscious effort to GIVE every day in every way that you can. i'm looking forward to discovering new ways that i can bless our friends, family, neighbors, and strangers, all for God's glory!
