today i'm taking my "little einsteins" on a field trip to the Dallas Symphony Orchestra for a musical mission! this week we have studied the 4 sections of instruments (strings, brass, woodwinds, percussion), and i am excited for BigGirl to see and hear and apply all that we've learned.
in addition to the Dallas Symphony Orchestra for Kids website, here are some music-symphony-orchestra-related resources we used this week:
•www.playmusic.org A children's website from the American Symphony Orchestra League.
•www.danieldorff.com Narrated children's stories.
•www.nyphilkids.org The New York Philharmonic's educational website for children.
•www.sfskids.org The San Francisco Symphony's educational website for children.
•www.artsalive.ca The National Arts Centre in Canada's educational website for children.
how do you teach music? what are your favorite music lesson resources?
thank you, FiveJ's for hosting Thirsty Thursday.
