pantry staple lists are not boring. they're helpful!
maybe you don't know what you should keep in your pantry. or maybe you're keeping the wrong things in your pantry? or maybe you find it interesting what other people keep in their cupboards. which might make you nosey, but that's okay. it also makes you in the know.
1. bread because hubby eats 2 sandwiches a day, and on days when my kids are particularly picky eaters, they will always eat a PB & J or grilled cheese sandwich.
2. oatmeal a no-fail breakfast for the whole family, it's inexpensive, filling, healthy, and easy.
3. peanut butter see #1, we buy this stuff in bulk, thank you Costco for carrying Organic Peanut Butter.
4. cereal DaddyHall and BigGirl eat their weight in cereal. daily. mostly our pantry has Kashi, Cascadian Farms, Raisin Bran and Cheerios.
5. bananas Bubba eats at least one banana a day. i go thru 2-3 bunches of bananas a week. fortunately, even the organic bananas are super cheap.
6. pure vanilla extract this is a must. it seems like when i don't have vanilla extract is when i need vanilla extract, so i always keep it in stock. a little vanilla adds that extra something special to almost everything.
7. Adobo or Taco Seasoning i sprinkle Adobo or mild Taco Seasoning in almost everything. it's my spice of choice. and the kids like it.
8. Jiffy corn meal mix a lot of my family's favorite recipes call for Jiffy corn meal mix. what does that say about us?
9. Goldfish because i have a toddler. no further explaination needed.
10. tortilla chips my personal favorite meal. on a plate covered in melted cheese topped with salsa. makes a quick and delicious lunch or snack. i really like the Archer Farms Organic White Corn tortilla chips.
